RDA’s Performing Arts Ensemble (PAE) recently had the honor of performing at various events in Colorado Springs. The studio was asked to be part of the halftime show as the United States Air Force Academy Falcons (USAFA) basketball team took on the Colorado State University Rams (CSU) on February 6 at Clune Arena. Dancers from Bottle Rockets, Sparklers, Firecrackers, Youth Company, and Company teams put on a spectacular show and received rave reviews from the audience. Some of our dancers even made the televised broadcast during coverage of the game! Every dancer came ready to #RevIt and engaged the crowd with their smiles, personalities, and dedicated performances. Congratulations to all our dancers – and to the USAFA Falcons who beat CSU 78-73!
In addition, for the past several years Revolution Dance Academy has teamed up with the Colorado Springs Conservatory to celebrate the future of the arts. The 12th Annual Beautiful Chaos was held February 18 at Stargazers Theatre. Conservatory students compose original music, and students from local dance studios choreograph dances to the songs. This year, some of RDA’s Company and Youth Company members choreographed and performed several group dances as well as some improv pieces. It is always a treat to celebrate the arts and see young dancers, singers and musicians perform live on stage. Bravo!
