Elizabeth Gross

Elizabeth began her lifelong obsession with dance at the young age of 5, when she started her ballet/tap combo class at Sarah Shaw Dance Studio in Pueblo, Colorado. Elizabeth studied tap, ballet, jazz, clog, Irish step, and hip hop, before graduating and moving to California to continue her dance
education. While living in California, she obtained her Associates Degree in Dance while performing with contemporary company Motion/Tribe under the direction of Marie De La Palme. She studied with internationally known choreographers and performers such as Jenny Backhaus, Andre Tyson, and Sarah Swenson. She also choreographed for Concordia University’s Dance Ensemble while obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. She was an instructor for Orange County Dance Productions, a company that brought dance to community centers across Orange County. She offered fun and affordable classes that exposed children to many styles of dance.

Elizabeth currently lives in Colorado Springs. She has spent the last 4 years running the recreational dance program at Synergy Dance Academy as well as directing the Nexstep Competition team. She also is continuously learning and adding new things into her dancer’s tool belt. She currently is taking ballroom lessons at Best of Ballroom with her best friend (Mr. Kurtis), as well as taking online tap lessons. She loves spending time with children and helping them to grow to love dance. She hopes to pass her passion and dedication to her students, so they continue to learn and grow in the art of
dance throughout their entire life.

“I do not try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to to dance better than myself.”

— Mikhail Baryshnikov
